When we talk about retro, multi-genre electronic grooves borrowing from the jazz, swing, and funk eras, few names come to mind as talented and exciting as Grant Lazlo. Possessing a near-midas touch for golden remixes, Lazlo showcases a taste for influences that highlight not just immense skill, but his pure love for timeless music that resonates with everyone.
On April 10th, Jive is excited to host a very special night, featuring:
Grant Lazlo is Paul Hzard, a French electronic music producer from Marseille, who grew up surrounded by the music of Duke Ellington, Stevie Wonder and Django Reinhardt. From his earliest steps in music until his latest minimal-electro-swing productions he always wanted to pay tribute to all his idols using ideas and melodies from History's classic music back catalogue.

Jive has lost its venue, so unfortunately our monthly party will be going on hiatus. We had heard you loud and clear, and were very excited to start back up to share those amazing evenings with you, but some things do not work out after all. We are so very grateful for your passion and support, and urge you to stick around to see what we have in store - we're certainly not out of the game!
We have some events and collaborations in the works that we're quite excited about, and think you will be, too. Make sure to keep Thursday, March 27th clear, because we're just putting the final touches on something truly special. Details will follow soon!
And we have even more in the works that are too hush-hush to get into here... but if all goes to plan, it will certainly have been worth waiting for.
Thank you again for helping us build such an amazing thing together, and making Jive the place to be for electroswing on the East Coast - and North America!
And a huge thank you to our liquor sponsor, Boston's own GrandTen Distilling! They're making some amazing spirits, right in Southie. Visit the distillery for a tour and tastings, and make sure to keep a bottle of Wire Works Gin on your shelf in case of emergency. We do!
